Hayman’s Gin are excited to share that they have won 3 awards in this year’s prestigious Great Taste Awards.
Hayman’s Exotic Citrus, Hayman’s Small Gin and Hayman’s Sloe Gin and were each credited with a Great Taste Award – at the Guild of Fine Food’s rigorous and independent judging process.
Hayman’s Exotic Citrus, which launched last year as an authentic alternative to flavoured gin, was marked as being “an interesting, well-crafted gin with sound balance” and the judges added that “it works beautifully with tonic – a surprisingly great balance, with plenty of citrus aromatics and astringency to balance the added sweetness.”
Their Small Gin, which makes a low-alcohol and low-calorie G&T serve, was described by the panel of judges as being “bright and convincing with a surprising weight and presence.” They went on to describe its “delightfully aromatic nose and a gorgeous complexity of floral and herbaceous character on the palate.”
Hayman’s Sloe Gin, made with plummy Sloe berries, was described as having “a lovely aroma of berries and apricot kernels” and the judging panel agreed that it is “a classic Sloe Gin with a good balance of sweetness and sourness.” “A lovely finish leaving just the whisper of the Sloe.”
These awards add to those Great Taste medals won last year for Hayman’s London Dry and Old Tom.
