We are very excited to share that Symposium Spirits have won seven stars in this year’s Great Taste Awards, the most widely recognised award in the food and drinks industry.
Bush Rum Original Spiced has been awarded three stars – the highest star count available – whilst Hayman’s London Dry Gin and Hayman’s Old Tom Gin have both been awarded two stars.
The judges’ comments on Bush Rum Original Spiced included:
“A gorgeous golden coloured rum with an enticing aroma of bananas, toffee and spice. The flavour is smooth, rich and reminiscent of flambéed bananas and toffee sauce! ..All the ingredients are beautifully balanced, creating an exceptionally satisfying and well-crafted rum, with a lingering spicy finish. Superb!”
While Hayman’s London Dry Gin was described as:
“Certainly bright, zesty and spicy on the nose – instantly appealing. This follows through to the palate, with pleasing persistence. Well-structured and beautifully balanced, it makes for a great G&T. A great quality gin, exactly as described.”
And Hayman’s Old Tom Gin:
“A very rich and perfumed nose with good clean juniper notes, completed and elaborated by accompanying botanicals including sweet and bitter citrus. These lead to a distinctive, effective but sophisticated explosion of flavour on the palate. ..Finesse is at work here alongside the best of natural flavours taking the drinkers mind to fields and forests. An excellent demonstration of the Old Tom Style of gin which begs to be the base of a Martinez.”
